Step 1- You will make sketches for what you would want to do for printmaking. All of your sketches, even your final should be 21/2" by 31/2".
Step 2- Next, you will pick your final sketch. Make sure you put it backwards so it prints the right way.
Step 3- Now, you will go on the back side of your final sketch and shade the whole backside.
Step 4- For this step, you will get a linoleum block and put your sketch on top of the linoleum block. You will now press really hard on the sketch with a pencil. You should end up with your final sketch on the linoleum block.
Step 5- Now, you will cut out everything you want to keep white with a carving tool.
Step 6- Next, what you will do is get out printmaking ink and use a brayer to spread it out and put it on your linoleum block.
Step 7- Finally, make your prints. Make as many as you can until you get at least six good prints.
